3.5 years ago I took a trip to Ireland to work on a sheep farm just outside of Sligo for 6 weeks. I can’t explain the beauty of this island, nor the impact it had on my life. This old world was a trigger in my evolution, these eyes had never seen the lands but I have a feeling that my akashic records might show differently. Living Wall Studio Competition Exhibit

Last month I was asked to shoot an event at the Architect Institute of British Columbia for the ”Living Wall Studio Competition Exhibit”. Put together by Lafarge North America (Ductal) and the AIBC, this was a competition for UBC’s Master of Architecture students to create a design with Lafarge’s revolutionary ultra-high preformance concrete called Ductal. The winners of this competition, Pat Danielson and Sam Ostrow, created an innovative living wall concept titled, “Cascading Biospheres”. In the summer of 2011 my girlfriend and I took a trip to Maui that forever changed my life. We stayed with friends on a banana farm in Haiku, cruised and camped the island in a soft-top Sport Jeep Wrangler and saw places more beautiful than I could ever imagine. In the November 2011 issue of Vancouver Japanese magazine, ‘Oops!‘, is an interview with Liquid Amber Tattoo Artist, Jenny Jarrett. This segment, titled ‘Artist Talk’, got Jenny the front cover and a 2 page spread with some photos we took from 2 different photo shoots. Jenny is a lovely human being and an amazing artist, check of some of her tattoo work here.

Bowen and Baby find their common joy of the season as the ground is scattered with an abundance of fun, something that brings them immense happiness, a whirlwind of excitement, this day was all for the love of leaves!!

Since I’ve moved to Vancouver I’ve found a new passion, something that suits my lifestyle and proves to be great therapy too; I have discovered my love for gardening. With the generous weather here I have been able to experiment with various soils and seeds. The reward of being able to eat what I grow is more than words can express, and being a vegetarian, it saves a pretty penny too. Here are some favorite shots from my gardens over the years:
